GoPro is raising the bar with its new Mission 1 range, introducing a 1-inch sensor for the first time in compact action cameras capable of recording in 8K.

Staying true to the brand’s DNA, the new models retain dual displays (front and rear), advanced image stabilization and waterproofing to 66' (20 m) without the need for an external housing.

The lineup includes three versions: the Mission 1, the Mission 1 Pro, which adds advanced features, and the Mission 1 Pro ILS, designed for the most demanding users with compatibility for Micro Four Thirds (MFT) interchangeable lenses. The latter will be available shortly.

GoPro has also announced several special editions, including a version equipped with a grip for improved handling, as well as bundles featuring a grip, audio system, lighting and carrying case. The Ultimate Creator Edition is aimed specifically at content creators looking for a complete production solution.
New accessories include a wireless microphone with a range of 492' (150 m), along with several new mounting systems, including a magnetic mount.
