New 51 Fountaine Pajot

The design, as ever, entrusted to Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design, does not herald a new generation - on the contrary, it is very close to the latest models. On the other hand, the 51 does bring a few new innovations, such as the XXL-sized opening between the saloon and the cockpit, four layout versions from 4 to 6 cabins with interesting variations around the owner's suite, flush-decked solar panels on the coachroof - up to 2000 W - and finally the possibility of installing a hybrid propulsion system. Under sail, compared to the Saba 50, it will benefit from a longer waterline length and an upwind sail area increased by nearly 10% - but the displacement is up 15%.
