Presented at Cannes for its World Premiere, the Leopard 43 builds on the main features of the 42 (207 units built), with extensive relaxation areas on deck - including a perfectly protected aft cockpit, a lounge deck adjoining the raised helm station and, of course, the forward door.

Outside, the 43 stands apart from its predecessor with its elegant aft sheerline step, composite bowsprit - an option that allows for a single-piece trampoline - and a small lounge area incorporated into the solid foredeck.
Inside, the coachroof windows, made from tinted glass, appear uninterrupted when viewed from outside thanks to aluminum mullions - a technique taken directly from Robertson & Caine’s powercat engineering.
Also worth noting is the draft, which increases from 4'3" to 4'11" (1.3 to 1.5 m), while the air draft gains almost 3'3" (1 m). Upwind sail area with the square-top mainsail increases from 1,255 sq ft (116.6 m²) to 1,395 sq ft (129.6 m²); at the same time, displacement rises from 13.69 t to 14.73 t, resulting in a favorable increase in the sail area-to-displacement ratio from 8.52 m²/t to 8.8 m²/t.
