Many manufacturers have tested the water with power multihulls - Privilège Marine, Lagoon, Fountaine Pajot and Leopard, among others. Some have given up, quit production, then started up again... Today, the demand is there. Far from the micro-niche that it was in the early 2000s, power multihulls now represent a few hundred models.
Boaters seem to be seduced by the ease of handling of these powercats. Other arguments to be put forward: habitability, privacy, comfort of life on board at anchor and at sea, but also lower fuel consumption than monohulls with equivalent speed and habitability. Whether they are former sailors, first-timers, or those who have grown bored of single-hulled motorboats, they’re all coming round to the idea. From 10 to 275 feet, here are eighty-seven of the essential power multihulls on the world market today.
