What was previously the 43 now features a more fluid design with larger windows, but its main ambition remains to be high-performance (14 knots all-electric top speed, 4 hours of operation at 6 knots per day) and to be even more comfortable. The manufacturer emphasizes the long range of 1,000 miles at 7 knots (using all energy sources), partly achieved thanks to a drastic “slimming diet”: the new Elight 44 will weigh in at just 9½ tons, compared with eleven previously. The Station Keeping system, which eliminates the need for anchoring in most situations, and the Joystick Docking system - very practical when coming alongside - will also be appreciated.
