This new catamaran that’s scheduled to launch in the spring and it marks a clear turning point in terms of architectural choices for the brand.
Firstly, there’s the flybridge with helm station: until now, this configuration was only available on the Samana 59, with the other smaller FP models featuring a double helm/maneuvering station offset to starboard. And then there’s the rigid foredeck, as seen on every model in the Bali range, and the forward door. No more trampolines! The FP55 is therefore attempting to establish itself in a market sector that favors owner use over charter work. However, the designers have focused more on comfort than performance. The target? Evidently, the Lagoon 55, which has almost identical specifications but sells at a significantly higher price.
