Following the launch of the Explorer 37 at the International Multihull Show last April, Tunisian builder Aventura Yachts continues the development of its Explorer powercat range with the new 47 Explorer, a flybridge-only model designed for coastal and offshore cruising.
Unlike almost all powercat builders, which now develop dedicated platforms for models of this size, Aventura has chosen to base the 47 Explorer on the platform of its Aventura 45 sailing catamaran. While this approach was common some fifteen years ago and is still used on certain very large multihulls, it enables the builder to keep development costs under control while offering a platform that is ultimately well suited to a 100% powerboat.
The result is an uncompromising trawler that favors efficiency, with relatively modest engine power. Wider than its competitors, the Aventura 47 Explorer offers more living space, with a completely redesigned saloon and a new chart table layout intended to improve ergonomics and circulation on board.
Priced from € 618,500 ex-tax, the 47 Explorer ranks among the most affordable models in its category.
