Replacing the 45, which was built between 2010 and 2020, the 44 IFC retains the narrow-tunnel hull design, but with one distinctive feature: a foil installed between the two hulls, inside the tunnel itself.
Called IFC (Internal Foiling System), this technology developed by the builder partially lifts the hulls while underway, with a claimed reduction in fuel consumption of 20 to 40%. Another advertised benefit is improved handling in waves and more natural behavior when turning, with the catamaran remaining level or leaning slightly inward, unlike many conventional powercats.
The deck layout prioritizes sportfishing, notably with two rows of seating at the helm station. As for propulsion, maximum power reaches 1,200 hp, while the fuel tanks can hold no less than 1,000 US gal (3,785 l). An impressive capacity that should provide a generous cruising range, even at high speeds.
