All about: Multipower

After a brief first encounter at the Cannes Yachting Festival, we caught up with the Pioneer PY60 in Croatia, off Trogir, for a more thorough sea trial. It was an opportunity to put some of the promises made for this German-built, 60-foot (18.30 m) powercat to the test. Its solar-electric hybrid propulsion system is designed to deliver an ocean-crossing range without refueling, provided you're happy to cruise at between 5 and 6.5 knots.

Presented as a world premiere in Cannes, the Aquila 35 Sport didn’t keep us waiting long before handing over the controls. A few days after the show, we caught up with it in Saint-Raphaël.
