New director at Outremer

A multihull enthusiast – he comes from Formule 18 and has owned 4 Outremers (45 - 55 standard, the no2 49 and the beta version of the 4X, aboard which he still sails), Stéphane has made his career in sport, as he managed Reebok then Converse in France, before looking after Western Europe for New Balance.

He resigned to live his dream of an Atlantic circuit as a family aboard his 4X… And when he returned, Xavier Desmaret, the boss of Outremer, suggested he join the team.

His aims for the company? To offer excellence in the construction of each boat, and achieve zero defects for the owner, but also to allow each purchaser of an Outremer to get training – according to his or her wishes – in all aspects of leisure sailing.

Stéphane is also working on the renewal of the range, and his ambition is to reduce delivery times – now 2 years – by rationalizing the production to increase from 17 boats built in 2017 to 20 in 2018, then rapidly to 24/26 boats per year.
