The Multihulls World community is already familiar with the Dutch brand Vandal Marine (see our test of the Vandal 46 in MW196), which also builds a 50 and this brand new 60 that we are presenting here.
The shipyard specializes in rugged aluminum powercats and was approached by customers seeking a larger model. The Vandal 60 is available in a Chase version with compact superstructures and an Explorer version with more complete interiors.
With its inboard engines (two Volvo IPS) or four outboard motors (600 HP Mercury V12s), the Vandal 60 can reach speeds of up to 48 knots. An adjustable foil is capable of supporting 35% of the vessel's weight, which improves seakeeping and reduces fuel consumption.
