Boat builders all have stocks of spare parts and an after-sales service capable of delivering the products requested... but delivery times are sometimes a little long for the boater, who might find himself forced to stay alongside waiting for a simple endstop for a genoa car track or for a filter for the watermaker.
This observation led Pierre Lecler and Laura Léonard, partners in Néo Marine, to imagine and set up an e-commerce site offering the famous spare parts, as well as equipment and preventive maintenance kits (halyards, sheets).
Most standard OE parts are offered, but it is also possible to order a premium product - a little more expensive, but also more durable and resistant.
The new Shop and Sail site is now available in French and will be available in English by the end of the year. Other languages such as Italian, German and Spanish may also be developed.
For the time being, the e-commerce site offers a large number of references specific to the Nautitech range (new and used) and to Fountaine Pajot models (new). Numerous other manufacturers, such as Aventura Catamarans, NEEL Trimarans and Outremer Yachting, may also join the adventure.
Shop and Sail ensures rapid delivery from La Rochelle - where a click & collect storage area has been set up. The same services are offered in Le Marin, Martinique. Two other sites, in Panama and French Polynesia, could soon be operational to facilitate maintenance for multihulls embarking on a circumnavigation.
