A few months ago we presented the vCat 44, a fast, light (7.5 tonnes unladen) ocean cruising catamaran, designed by François Perus, and above all easy to handle shorthanded.
The first two examples of the series are now being built at Corthinx. The molds were built in Poland, and are now on the way to the builder in Croatia, close to Split. The launch of the n°1 in the series is planned before the end of the year, and it will be available for tests during the whole of the winter. The builder is offering a private owner’s version and a charter version, and hybrid propulsion is planned as an option.
