This weekender presented at Cannes is built in Tunisia. It is made of aluminum, an original choice, as this material would more typically be used for small workboats or large ocean-going vessels.
The Wama 42 XL guarantees excellent performance thanks to powerful twin outboard motors or a pair of diesel inboards, and foils. The maximum speed is announced as 42 knots (we reached 38 knots during our test off Cannes).
Although the superstructure is fairly discreet, it manages to accommodate a comfortable interior. The helm station is very attractive and even includes a sunroof. The shipyard offers two to four cabins in the hulls.
Designed primarily for recreational boating, the spacious aft platform offers direct access to the water. A second version of this model is offered by the yard – the Wama 42, which is narrow and uses a composite construction.
