Rouchette is no newcomer to the world of boots: this French family business was founded in 1990 by Jean-Louis Rouchette, a pattern maker who notably worked for Patrick and Salomon.

Taken over by his son Sébastien in 2014, the French brand now develops ranges for gardening, outdoor activities, hunting and, of course, marine use.
The Amiral boots were developed specifically for marine professionals. Made from natural rubber with reinforcements at the toe, heel and ankle, they focus on durability and grip on wet surfaces. Their R’Grip outsole features a flat profile and suction-cup tread designed to reduce the risk of slipping. The polyester-lined Amiral is particularly suitable for warmer seasons and temperate climates, while the Amiral Neo, with its neoprene lining, provides greater thermal comfort when temperatures drop.
Designed primarily for everyday professional use, the Amiral boots also have plenty to appeal to sailors and recreational boaters looking for reliable, no-nonsense footwear. And if you prefer something less covering, there’s good news: an ankle boot will be added to the range in spring 2027.
