Charts and AIS

C-Map has added a new functionality to its Embark application: you can now see, in real time, the boats surrounding you within a 54-mile radius of your position, by superimposing the AIS data directly onto the C-Map charts. The course and speed of each of the boats in the neighborhood are thus displayed, which is a real plus in terms of safety, and as an aid to itinerary planning.
