When it first launched the Superocean back in 1957, the Swiss watchmaker set itself apart from the diving watches of the time by focusing on elegance – arrow-shaped hands, an anodized aluminum rotating bezel, naturally refined proportions, and more.
The Superocean has kept pace with the times – the latest evolution dating from 2017. The 2025 model removes nothing from the DNA of this chronometer, quite the contrary, judging by its even more refined design. Alongside the new design, Breitling is launching a limited edition created with Kelly Slater, arguably the greatest surfer of all time. It’s an original way to pay tribute to Hawaiian surfing culture.

In 1884, at just 24 years old, Léon Breitling opened his first workshop in Saint-Imier, in the Swiss Jura. He wanted to improve the instruments of chronometry – the accurate measurement of time – which were used to evaluate scientific breakthroughs, scientific progress, and sporting records, subjects that fascinated him. The company grew rapidly and, now, 140 years later, Breitling is one of the largest Swiss watch manufacturers. This innovative company invented the modern chronograph and pioneered the utility watch for sailing use.
