For our test sail aboard the Astus 26.5 in La Rochelle, just after the boat show closed, we enjoyed ideal conditions with bright sunshine, a steady 10-knot offshore breeze and calm seas...
Our YouTube Short:
The new flagship of the Astus range didn’t take long to reach speeds of over 11 knots - we were testing the Sport version, which has a little more sail area. At all speeds, the 26.5 glides effortlessly across the water, with an almost neutral helm thanks to the work of the naval architects! This, their fifth collaboration with renowned architects VPLP, results in a rather sober design featuring significant volume in the central hull above the chine. The result is interior space that’s quite satisfactory - the layout offers a proper cabin forward and saloon bench seats that can be widened by 6 inches (15 cm).
