Max 44SC

Arriving in France Straight from Vietnam

Despite its relatively traditional appearance, the MaxCruise 44SC is hiding a few surprises! What’s different about this catamaran is its asymmetrical hybrid powertrain, combining safety and energy efficiency.

Our YouTube Short:

This propulsion system has been tested over a 10,000-mile journey from Vietnam all the way to France. The hull of the Max 44SC has very fine-entry bows, which we found to guarantee a remarkable glide through the water in light airs, while its intelligently laid-out deck hardware facilitates short-handed maneuvering and contributes to making this model a very seaworthy multihull. This is a wonderful surprise that is shaking up the market standards and will soon be improved even further, as the shipyard has just announced the Max 45 SC, a revised and updated version of the 44 that will be able to carry a heavier load for blue water cruising.
