In the middle of the Atlantic, the solo sailor is still dealing with a few thunderstorm cells, forcing him to make frequent course adjustments and maneuvers. Reefing the sails, hoisting them again, steering around squalls and staying alert. Nothing unusual for an ocean crossing, but certainly enough to keep him busy throughout the day!
The good news is that the catamaran is performing beautifully and her skipper is managing his fatigue well. "The boat is responding really well. And I'm not too tired myself," Éric tells us, clearly delighted with his progress.
And when the sun reappears between the clouds, the ocean once again puts on a show. A flying fish suddenly leaps out of the water in the distance, even interrupting his message!
With fewer than 2,000 miles to go, Éric is keeping a smile on his face as he continues his solo, nonstop, engine-free adventure across the Atlantic.
