€ 3 Million to Support Growth

German carbon specialist AST (Advanced Sailing Technologies) is preparing to significantly increase its production capacity. The Potsdam-based company is set to invest around € 3 million in a new industrial facility covering nearly 43,100 sq ft (4,000 m²), scheduled to become operational in mid-2027. The aim is notably to meet growing international demand for its carbon tenders.

The new facility will benefit from more modern production equipment and increased automation. AST also plans to install photovoltaic panels and a high-efficiency heating system to reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions. Located close to Berlin and around 20 minutes from Berlin Brandenburg International Airport, the site should also facilitate exchanges with international customers, suppliers and partners.

This increase in production capacity is naturally accompanied by plans to expand the sales network. AST is therefore looking for new international distributors to represent its range of carbon tenders. The builder will notably take advantage of the upcoming METSTRADE show, where two ASTenders will be displayed on stand 01.577, to meet potential new partners.
