Originally announced by the brand’s former management team, the Neel 48 project has since been further refined with the aim of becoming the next bestseller in the cruising trimaran market.
This new model reuses part of the tooling from the Neel 47 while featuring a wider central hull aft and, above all, a completely redesigned interior layout. Gone are the separate companionways leading down into the floats. The Neel 48 retains only aft access hatches serving two crew cabins.
The nacelle further develops the “cockloon” concept - an innovative blend of cockpit and saloon - offering a seamless connection between the living space and the cockpit, now with even more volume. The coachroof has been carefully raised, bringing additional natural light into both the saloon and galley. To starboard, the owner’s suite is located on the same level as the main living area. An alternative two-cabin configuration is also available.
On deck, the Neel 48 features a pronounced reverse sheer. Notable details include integrated steps that facilitate access to the coachroof from the foredeck and an electric mainsail traveller. One modification is still planned: the diagonal steps near the forward lounging area will be removed. A hybrid propulsion package will be offered as an option. Launch is scheduled for September 2027.
