Three men for three hulls, three “M”s for a takeover: the story already has a nice ring to it even before it begins for Martin Volt, Maxime Vedrenne, and Martin Lepoutre. The three new partners were appointed last Friday by the La Rochelle Commercial Court to take over the Neel Trimarans shipyard, which has been in financial difficulty since last autumn.
Starting Monday, the three new leaders will have the task of relaunching the Neel adventure - rebuilding the order book and then introducing new models. The challenge is significant, but the La Rochelle-based trio brings strong expertise. Martin Volt, the future CEO, previously headed the maintenance yard Bosco. Maxime Vedrenne, appointed Managing Director, was a Neel dealer. As for Martin Lepoutre, he previously led Fora Marine; his role will be to ensure the transition and revival of the shipyard.
Neel Trimarans will be present at the International Multihull Show with a Neel 52. Meanwhile, dealer Emeraude Multicoques will showcase a Neel 43 and a 47 near the entrance of the show.
