Three men for three hulls, 3 million for a takeover: the story already sounds promising even before it's begun for Martin Volt, Martin Lepoutre, and Maxime Vedrenne. The three new partners were appointed last Friday by the La Rochelle Commercial Court to take over the reins of the Neel Trimarans shipyard, which has been experiencing financial difficulties since last autumn.
Starting Monday, the three new leaders will be tasked with reviving the Neel adventure – replenishing the order book and then launching new models. The challenge is significant, but the La Rochelle trio boasts solid expertise. Martin Volt, the incoming CEO, was head of the maintenance shipyard Bosco. Maxime Vedrenne, appointed managing director, was a Neel dealer. As for Martin Lepoutre, he led Fora Marine; his mission is to ensure the transition and relaunch of the shipyard.
Three men for three hulls, 3 million for a takeover: the story already sounds promising even before it's begun. Neel Trimarans will be exhibiting at the International Multihull Show with a Neel 52. The Emeraude Multicoques dealership will be showcasing a Neel 43 and a 47 near the show entrance.
