Sydney Festival of Boating

Twice victim of Covid-19...

Unsurprisingly, the 2020 edition of the Sydney International Boat Show had to be cancelled due to the global health crisis.

One year on, the general situation has improved, and the first boat shows were able to be held in the United States and in Europe. Unfortunately, on the other side of the world, an upsurge in the number of Covid cases combined with a 15-day lockdown of the city of Sydney – that may be extended – has meant that the Sydney Festival of Boating, originally scheduled for July 29th to August 1st, has been cancelled. The show was set to be less ambitious than the standard format, though nevertheless was to respect a very thorough health protocol. So now we’ll have to wait until 2022 before we can finally visit the famous Sydney International Boat Show, the largest boat show in the southern hemisphere.
