The next Olympic cat…

Multihulls were absent from the Olympic Games in London this summer. It's a real shame, but that's the way it is!

Realizing their enormous error, (as the catamaran offers both the speed and the spectacle our modern society is so fond of, and above all the television and the famous audiovisual rights), our decision makers have decided to make up for it at Rio, in 2016. Yes, but there remains the question, on which support? At the ISAF tests in Santander, most of the sailors present voted for the Nacra (14 votes from 19!!!). It must be said that this cat is great fun, modern and easily answers the ISAF requirements of being sailed by a mixed crew of less than 130kg...
And miracle of miracles, it was the sailors' choice which was finally validated by the ISAF. We will therefore see sport catamarans racing for the gold medal at the Rio games. Life's good, isn't it?
