The two hulls of the first of the five WiderCat 92s ordered have now been shipped to the Italian port of Fano, where construction will continue with the installation of the systems and equipment - not to mention the fitting out of the interiors and the painting.
The deck and superstructures are already being manufactured and are expected to be ready shortly. The WiderCat 92, like all the boats developed by the manufacturer since 2010, also has the goal of boating with reduced carbon emissions thanks to solar energy (the photovoltaic panels total 1,830 square feet / 170 m²). Hull #1 integrates a hybrid diesel-electric drivetrain capable of maintaining 6 knots for 27 nautical miles in 100% electric mode and ensuring a green mode for 12 hours at anchor. This first WiderCat 92 will be on show to the public at the 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival, scheduled from September 12 to 17.
