The risk of drowning is THE big risk when going out to sea. Here is a piece of equipment which is lightweight and easy to wear: OneUp. This compact buoy activates in less than two seconds on contact with the water, and is offered in original packaging, the same size as a can of beer (19 cm/7.5”). The buoy weighs just 370 g (13oz) and can support a weight of 150 kg (330 lbs). Once used, all you have to do is replace the salt/CO2 kit and fold the buoy up again.
