As part of an upcoming series featuring onboard comfort equipment, the Multihulls World editorial team spent a day in Saint-Herblain, near Nantes, with the staff of Kent Marine Equipment.
Founded in 1974, the company is now one of France's leading distributors of technical equipment for the recreational boating, commercial marine and inland waterways sectors. It serves exclusively professional customers, including boatbuilders, naval architects, shipowners, installers and specialist distributors. Kent is now part of Alliance Marine Group, Europe's leading B2B distributor of marine equipment.
Based in Saint-Herblain, near Nantes, and Vallauris on the French Riviera, the company employs around 80 people. Its catalog includes more than 15,000 products, nearly 9,000 of which are kept in permanent stock. The range covers navigation electronics, thrusters and stabilizers, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems, pumps, plumbing, lighting, electrical equipment, deck hardware and hatches.
Beyond distribution, Kent Marine Equipment supports marine professionals throughout their projects, from equipment selection and technical advice to after-sales service. The company also relies on an efficient logistics network, with daily shipments and fast delivery.
The editorial team at Multihulls World would like to warmly thank Matthieu Dechamps, Marc Bouleau, Frédéric Desmons, Séverine Cardinaud, Michaël Menant, Nicolas Le Dorze and Élodie Jossec for their welcome, their availability and the time they devoted to us.
