Since version 1.10, released on October 17, OhMyWind has been able to communicate with AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Le Chat using the open Model Context Protocol (MCP). Simply describe your sailing plans, intended route and multihull to compare departure times, visualize your route on a map and obtain information about the expected conditions. The tool can also compare two itineraries and answer specific questions about tides and currents.
OhMyWind draws on several leading public weather models, including Météo-France's AROME, ICON-EU, ECMWF and GFS. For currents, it uses data from SHOM, Ifremer, BSH and Copernicus, with one particularly welcome feature: when information is unavailable, the application prefers to display "current unknown" rather than provide a potentially misleading estimate.
Available on the web and Android, OhMyWind supports five languages: French, English, German, Spanish and Italian. Its international appeal is already evident, with the platform reporting more than 600 daily users, particularly in France and Germany, despite having launched without a promotional campaign.
In other news, OhMyWind is competing in the Cap Innovation awards at the Paris Nautic Show 2026, in the "Innovative Service" category.
