RescueMe EDF1

Is this the end for distress flares?

Traditional handheld flares are still mandatory in some legislations; however, they are technologically obsolete, potentially dangerous to use, sensitive to humidity and their operating time is limited to 60 seconds... a good reason to “double” them up with an LED light such as this EDF1 developed by British equipment manufacturer Ocean Signal.

40% more compact than a traditional flare, it offers excellent 360° visibility, a constant level of brightness throughout the life of the battery, four operating modes (including SOS), a light range of up to 7 nautical miles and water resistance of up to 33 feet (10 meters). The battery life is up to 6 hours of operation and the battery is user-replaceable.

Prices starting at $139.99
