Watersprint

Drinking Water Directly on Board

Reducing the number of plastic bottles on board while ensuring water quality: that is what Watersprint offers. Developed in Sweden, this compact system combines filtration with UVC LED treatment and can be integrated directly into the boat’s fresh-water system.

Water produced by a watermaker or taken on in port may remain in the tanks for some time before being consumed. Watersprint treats the water as close as possible to the point of use: it first passes through a cartridge designed to trap particles, before undergoing UVC LED treatment, without the addition of chemicals.

Compact, the system can serve one or more water outlets and can be integrated without major modifications to the existing plumbing. It is therefore suitable for both original installation and retrofit. When combined with a watermaker, it makes it possible to produce drinking water on board, reducing the need to store bottles, along with their weight and associated waste.
Already adopted by several builders, Watersprint is also available to Owners wishing to equip their multihull. Several hundred systems are reportedly already in service, with no after-sales issues reported to date. Maintenance is essentially limited to replacing the filter cartridge, generally once a year depending on use.
