Italy’s leading boat show (with 1,000 boats and 120,000 visitors) is always held just after the Cannes event, giving many builders the opportunity to continue to display their boats, having sailed less than 100 nautical miles to get there.

For this 65th edition, which took place from September 18 to 23, the weather was exceptionally good, but it was above all the inexorable rise of multihulls that was noted by industry professionals. In the absence of any world premieres (Cannes takes the lion's share of new launches...), the main multihull yards (Aquila, Bali, Catana, Comar, Excess, Fountaine Pajot, Lagoon, etc.) were well represented. In addition, new brands operating on their home turf, such as Blue Game with their BGF 45 powercat, which we were finally able to discover, were also attending, as our special correspondent Dominic Salander was able to observe.
