We (finally) got the chance to go out on the famous Ultima 55, the powercat that turns heads on the pontoons with its ultra-trendy design.
This new model, the first in the Ultima range, is characterized by a modest beam of 18’4” (5.6 m) and a very specific design that incorporates a steeply sloping and inverted front to the coachroof, an inverted deck sheer, and lastly, angled bows.
Like all Sunreef models, the luxurious interiors can be customized on request. As for the outdoor living spaces, these offer a spacious cockpit, sunbathing areas, and a swimming platform.
With the standard powertrain, we reached 36 knots and discovered a powercat that turns on the level, lifts efficiently on its foils - especially on flat seas. The Sunreef 55 Ultima is also designed to be available in an Eco version with hybrid propulsion and various high-performance solar panel options.
