Sydney International Boat Show

Lots of Multihulls at the 2025 Edition

Our Australian correspondent Kevin Green visited the Sydney Boat Show, hosted by Australia’s largest city, on our behalf.

Our video:

First held in 1968, this event has seen a significant decline in popularity since 2010 and has faced competition from the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, but the enchanting setting of Cockle Bay and Darling Harbour as a backdrop could well change the game... Admittedly, there were 260 boats at this year’s show, compared to a thousand in 2010, but there were more multihulls than ever before - the show was an opportunity to see many shipyards presenting their wares, including Excess Catamarans, Fountaine Pajot, HH Catamarans, Iliad Catamarans, Lagoon, Robertson & Caine (Leopard Catamarans), and Seawind Catamarans. Also noteworthy was the announcement of the upcoming Iliad 60 and the presentation of the Seawind 1270 model, the first example of which is expected to splash in July 2026.
