Lagoon 52: a 'pre-premiere' presentation

Driving rain in Bordeaux, on the production site for the big Lagoons - we could have hoped for better weather conditions to discover a new cat intended a priori for a rather sunnier atmosphere. But we hadn't made the trip for nothing: the 52, initiator of a new generation, proved to be more innovative than the previous new boats (see our 'over 50 feet' pages in our buyer's guide). The boat replaces the 500, of which 150 examples have been sold. Half of the owners have left for a long voyage. Just to give an idea of the challenge this new boat faces.
The flybridge is just as pleasant, and the helmsman finds himself behind a wheel which pivots to port and starboard for an optimal view. All the control lines are accessible from this steering position.
Three versions of the accommodation, with from three to five cabins are now available. Although the owner's suite classically occupies the area aft and to starboard, the port aft cabin is worth a look: independent and directly accessible from the cockpit. Note also the innovative electrical management, thanks to a touch screen and wireless switches. Moreover, this multiplexing will be adopted on all the group's ranges.
