And the new 42 from Fountaine Pajot is called…

It has become a tradition for the La Rochelle-based builder: each new boat announced has ‘New’ and its size in feet as its code name.

It is under this name that we knew the 42-footer Fountaine Pajot announced at Düsseldorf. A catamaran which was presented for its world preview (before its official naming ceremony at the next Cannes Boat Show) at the last Multihull Boat Show. A particularly appealing boat, modern and with really successful accommodation. We appreciated notably the owner’s cabin, which is quite simply amazing with its intelligently-designed bathroom.

In addition to its official presentation, the New 42 has revealed its name: Astréa 42.

See it on test in our next edition, and at the Sydney, Cannes, Genoa, Annapolis and Barcelona Boat Shows.

Cannes will also be the opportunity to discover the builder’s brand-new flagship, with the New 67, which will be unveiled for its world premiere during the show. Finally, the builder will also be unveiling a brand-new 40-foot motor catamaran, the MY 40.
