Following the highly acclaimed launch of the Aquila 50 Sail in Miami last February, the American builder is continuing the development of its new sailing range with a more compact model.
The 45 Sail, scheduled to make its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival, marks another step in the company's strategy of expanding a lineup that was previously dedicated exclusively to powercats. A third model, the 65 Sail, has already been announced for 2028.
Rather than reinventing the formula introduced with the 50 Sail, the new model naturally adopts the key features first seen on its larger sibling: a spacious aft cockpit, a full flybridge, a fixed foredeck lounge replacing the traditional trampoline, and direct access between the flybridge and the foredeck. The emphasis is clearly on life aboard, with particularly generous social areas and a layout designed for extended cruising.
The interior is available in Owner's or Charter versions, with three or four cabins. Particular attention has been paid to circulation, natural light in the saloon and private access to the cabins, while the galley benefits from a comprehensive level of equipment. As with the 50 Sail, Aquila places greater emphasis on comfort and ease of living aboard than on outright performance.
