The production tools for the Outremer 45 were moved to the ORC Catamarans site just over a year ago, so it was in Lorient, Brittany, that the 100th example of this high-performance blue water catamaran was splashed.
Launched 11 years ago, this model is now both the smallest and the oldest in the Outremer range. At the time, it was thought that it would be difficult to replace the old Outremer 45 designed by the late Gérard Danson’s team... but now, with the 48 making its debut at La Grande-Motte, it’s clear that the new 45, available in a performance version called the 4X and an electric version called the 4.Zero, has also become iconic!
