AsOne Yachts is an Australian shipyard based in Thailand that currently offers a range of sport fishing and recreational boats. The builder is launching a new brand, Pacifica Yachts, whose first model will be the Pacifica 44.
This new compact powercat, available in Sedan, Flybridge, and Resort/Charter versions, stands out from the competition thanks to its ocean-going range of 4,400 nautical miles at 9 knots, along with its optimized layout for two people, and finally, its high-capacity 48 V electrical architecture that features 40 kWh of lithium batteries combined with 177 square feet (16.5 m²) of solar panels capable of producing 3.3 kWp. This setup means that the Pacifica 44 has no need for a generator. Being particularly fine at the waterline, the hulls ensure good performance in bigger seas and low drag. The yard has opted for infusion construction to keep the weight down and thereby allowing for a modest powertrain of twin 180 HP motors. The keels, combined with the propshaft transmission and protected rudders, allow the boat to take the ground.
Hull #1 of the Pacifica 44 is currently in build and is scheduled to splash this year.
