A bombshell for the star YouTubers of the seas: after 11 years of adventure, the legendary couple, Elayna and Riley, are selling their Rapido 60, the trimaran they bought 3 years ago.
This isn't the first time they've sold: after starting their journey on a monohull for a few years, they acquired an Outremer 45, before falling for their current trimaran with its exceptional performance. It's aboard the Rapido 60 that they've crisscrossed Southeast Asia, Japan, and Micronesia, racking up the miles. Does this mean the end of nautical and salty adventures for this family followed by 1.97 million subscribers?
"We're selling our boat, guys..." This is how Elayna begins what looks like one of the latest videos from La Vagabonde. Indeed, after recounting the acquisition of the Rapido 60, a speedboat that Riley dreamed of and which the couple bought for 2 million euros, and after sharing the technical difficulties they encountered, the new project is quickly announced: "We want to build a self-sufficient farm, a piece of land where we can finally settle down, with our new sailboat and our RIB moored somewhere nearby." The country is yet to be determined, as are the choice of land and naval architect: they are asking their online followers for advice on this type of project. And if there is a boat in their next life, which they seem to be considering, it might be the antithesis of the Rapido: "It could be an old wooden boat or a trawler. Who knows? We don't know. We're keeping our options open!" The couple and their children still have a month and a half to spend on La Vagabonde 3, so they're hoping their online followers will join them for the final leg of their journey…
