The Seawind range is expanding and undergoing a definitive modernization with this brand-new 1270 announced just a few days ago. The replacement for the iconic 1260 remains a lightweight catamaran, with a lightship displacement of 20,950 lbs (9.5 t).
With a sail area of 1,117 square feet (103.8 m²), the sail-area-to-weight ratio is 10.93 m²/t, promising good performance. The sporty design is ensured by the sharply inverted bows and long coachroof windows, which retain the same angles.
On board the 12.70, we really liked the tasteful simplicity, with a perfectly protected offset helm station on the port side and a compact nacelle extended by a long rigid bimini, able to support a generous surface area of solar panels.
