A First for the European Open Days

Founded in Australia in 1982, Seawind Catamarans now builds its catamarans in both Vietnam and Turkey. Taking advantage of its production base close to the European market, the builder held the first edition of its European Open Days on July 18 and 19 at its İzmir shipyard.

Discover this issue

Intended to become an annual event, it brought together owners, prospective buyers, partners and multihull enthusiasts from across Europe. The program included guided tours of the factory to discover Seawind's construction methods, sea trials from Yeni Foça Oasis Marina, and several social events designed to encourage exchanges between participants and the Seawind team.

For Mike Rees, International Sales Director of Seawind Catamarans, the success of this first edition confirms the European market's interest: "By welcoming our guests directly to our İzmir facility and on the waters of Foça, we are introducing them not only to our catamarans, but also to the passion and expertise of the people who build them."
