With the Airtronic 3, Eberspächer is upgrading its range of forced-air heaters with more precise regulation, quieter operation and simplified maintenance.
Designed for cruising in temperate or cold climates, this type of heating remains particularly popular on board thanks to its rapid warm-up, dehumidifying effect and relatively straightforward installation.
The main development concerns power management: while previous generations operated in stages, the Airtronic 3 now features continuous regulation. The heater therefore adjusts its output more precisely to actual requirements, improving thermal comfort while reducing temperature fluctuations.
Eberspächer has also worked on reducing noise levels. The blower now features a brushless motor, with a stated service life of 5,000 hours compared with 3,000 previously, while the dosing pump is also designed to operate more quietly. Installation options have also been expanded, with the unit now able to operate at angles of up to 90° to either side.
The new EasyStart Pro controller allows operating periods to be programmed, maintenance to be scheduled and an integrated diagnostics menu to be accessed. The Airtronic 3 range is available in four power ratings, from 2 to 8 kW, with Marine versions supplied with the main components required for installation.
