With Philippe Hamon now serving as President of E-lektra Marine, the rollout is accelerating: 14 production models from the two groups are involved, and the technology is also being made available to Leopard Catamarans, RM Yachts and Chantier de l'Arsenal. The goal is to replace individual shipyard-specific solutions with a common architecture integrating propulsion, energy storage and energy management.
This standardization should also make maintenance easier and reduce costs. "It allows us to pool resources in terms of pricing, but also service networks. It's much easier to train a service network when you find the same equipment aboard different boats," explains Jérémy Bénichou. Joool currently has 19 after-sales service locations.
The remaining challenge is to make the technology completely intuitive for users. "When you get into a hybrid car, you don't need to be an engineer to drive it. Joool is the same. We take care of all the energy management on board without making things any more complicated for the user."
