The manufacturer has taken a technological leap forward by integrating a heating film directly into the material. The system connects to the boat’s electrical circuit, offers two power levels, and requires no structural modifications.

Smartdeck™ Heat was unveiled in January 2025 aboard the Dragonfly 36 at Boot Düsseldorf. Full-scale testing has been conclusive: much like domestic underfloor heating, the heat is immediately noticeable in the exterior areas equipped with it - cockpit, side-decks, and swim platforms. The comfort is noticeable as soon as the deck cools down or gets wet. For sailors on night watch and/or cruising in high latitudes, the bonus is significant. Sitting at the helm for long periods of time is no longer a chore...

In addition to its efficiency, the major advantage of this heated covering is its aesthetic integration. Smartdeck™ Heat matches the color, patterns, and cut of the existing deck exactly. Nothing betrays the addition of a heating system. It all remains uniform, discreet, and consistent with the original design. This approach will appeal to both shipyards and owners who are keen to maintain the visual identity of their multihull.
