Sunreef Yachts launched an initial range with four models from 60 to 130 feet (18 to 40 m) that were fully electric, and which has now been completed by two Supremes (70 and 80) and four Ultimas (44, 55, 77 and 88), not forgetting the 40M Explorer. A total of no less than 11 models! The 80 Sunreef Power Eco, the first among these models ordered from the Gdańsk shipyard, was presented as a world preview at the recent Cannes Yachting Festival.
This multiyacht promises silent, non-polluting cruising and infinite range. Sunreef’s plan is to reconcile yachting and ecology: by operating a vast multiyacht platform, the builder has succeeded in installing 2150 sq ft (200 m²) of light and ultramodern solar panels - producing up to 36 kWp of electricity. The 80 Sunreef Power Eco is also equipped with a high-tech battery bank: 30% lighter than the batteries used in the yachting industry, with a density of less than 11.5 lbs (5.2 kg) / kWh with greater efficiency and performance. With a 990-kWh battery bank, range in all electric mode is some 300 nautical miles. This fully customizable luxury catamaran can be equipped with a kite for enhanced performance and range.
