While the Eco range from the leading shipyard in the multiyacht sector is very well established with the 80 (both sail and power), with half of all orders opting for the hybrid propulsion system, the same couldn’t really be said for the famous 100... until the arrival of Double Happiness, the first model to adopt electric propulsion.
The yard has installed four 180-kW motors powered by an impressive 990-kWh battery. Just to give you an idea, a battery of this size could cover all the energy needs of a 1,600-square-foot (150 m²) house for a month!
Double Happiness has two range extenders and solar panels - they are installed on the T-Top.
As you would expect, the level of comfort on board is exceptional: it can accommodate up to 10 guests in five elegantly decorated cabins. The owner, meanwhile, enjoys a suite with private access to the forward cockpit. The aft cockpit can be transformed into a beach club thanks to two hydraulic platforms, while the huge flybridge serves as a gathering spot for guests with its C-shaped sofa and fully equipped bar.
