We had to wait until hull #5 of the W-72 for the GranOcean brand to finally arrive in Europe! Based in China, the builder intends to shake up the luxury powercat market with an original approach: offering highly customizable semi-custom yachts at a price claimed to be more accessible than those of the major specialists in the segment.

Designed by Stimson Marine Design and Howard Apollonio, with interiors by Vripack, the W-72 features well-protected hulls and substantial bridgedeck clearance designed to improve its passage through the water. Another welcome feature is that the side decks are protected by very high bulwarks. The builder also emphasizes the many configurations available: open or enclosed flybridge, galley on the main deck or in the hulls, numerous cabin layouts (3 to 5), several interior styles - our model featured solid marble - various engine options, hybrid propulsion and a choice of hull colors.
