Blue Planet Odyssey

Blue Planet Odyssey will have a set of aims, both scientific and educational. These little boats, each crossing some of the less-frequented parts of the oceans, will offer oceanographic institutes and research centres unique opportunities for observation and sampling, providing first-hand environmental data which will be directly transmitted ashore.
The Planet Odyssey will sail west around the world by the traditional trade wind route, via the Panama Canal and the Torres Straits. Those who prefer to take a more demanding route could choose the option of a route via the north-west passage or a southerly route via Easter Island. Finally, the rally will stop in some of the most threatened islands in each ocean, which are also amongst the most beautiful: the Tuvalus, Tokelau, the Tuamotus, the San Blas, the Maldives, Micronesia, Kiribati, the Marshalls and the Andamans...
Departure planned from London on 20th July 2014.
