Dometic is strengthening its industrial capabilities in the marine sector with the construction of a new production and distribution facility in Cabiate, in the province of Como in northern Italy.

This new facility will replace the group’s existing regional premises and is intended to support the development of its Marine business, both with builders and in the aftermarket.
The project is particularly notable for bringing production, product testing, storage and distribution together at a single site. Dometic therefore intends not only to increase its manufacturing capacity, but also to shorten lead times, improve equipment availability and strengthen the reliability of its European supply chain.
This Italian facility forms part of a Marine business covering many of the systems found aboard our multihulls, with Dometic notably active in cooling, heating, energy and electronics, as well as space optimization. The Swedish group, headquartered in Stockholm, employs around 7,000 people and sells its products in more than 100 countries. In 2025, it generated sales of SEK 21 billion, equivalent to approximately $ 2.3 billion.
According to Eric Fetchko, President of the Marine segment, this new facility will allow Dometic to better support its OEM partners and customers through “increased production capacity, reliable supply and continuous innovation.” The group also describes the Cabiate facility as an investment intended to support its long-term growth.
